Services offered in our Community…

Annual “Point in Time” (homeless) Count Resource Fair:
For 3 days at the end of January each year is our Tri-County “Point in Time” homeless count and Resource Fair. The more accurate count we can get and record, the more funding and resources we can receive to help those who are experiencing homelessness in Jefferson, Deschutes & Crook Counties.  For many years, Madras Christian Church was the home of the annual Resource Fair, however, we found that we can serve more people and community booths in the gymnasium of the First Baptist Church.  This year’s PIT Count will be held at various locations throughout the Tri-Counties between January 23 – 25 with the Resource Fair on Friday, the 25th from 8 a.m. – 6 p.m.  at the First Baptist Church in Madras.   Soups & sandwiches will be served from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m., provided by members of the Madras Christian Church.

Annual Community in the Park Event:
Many churches give back to our community the First Saturday in August each year by providing FREE services, including but not limited to…  medical testing, dental check-ups, family portraits, car-washing, pet care, haircuts, beauty treatments, physical therapy, food & drinks and more!  This year’s event will be held Saturday, AUG 3, 2019 from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
